Update on Brand/Renaming Project

May 28, 2020

We formed a team to hire an outside agency to guide our work. Then we engaged you and other members, from coast to coast. Rebranding an organization, especially if it includes finding a new name, is an important undertaking.
We were committed to being as inclusive as possible. To gather input, we conducted an “attribute survey” (to which 1,214 of you responded), an in-depth “discovery survey”, focus groups, one-on-one interviews, and numerous calls about naming in which 26 chapter leaders participated. In addition, we held 14 project team meetings and five Board meetings at which we discussed the progress and kept moving the project forward. We also tested potential names on members and non-members.

Then COVID-19 arrived on the scene and everything changed.

We believe that our focus right now needs to be on meeting the needs of our members, especially with regard to keeping you connected to TTN and to each other. Since the onset of the virus, we have quickly switched gears to move our groups and programs to the online environment. You have responded enthusiastically and we want that to continue.
Given the circumstances, the Board of Directors has put a hold on the renaming/rebranding project. For the time being, we will remain The Transition Network, the organization that has been such an important part of our lives. We will celebrate our anniversary later this year and continue to deliver our important mission of connect, discover and impact.
Thank you for continuing to be a member and for your engagement in our groups, programs and events. Thank you for learning Zoom and being there to support each other during these uncertain times. Without you there is no TTN. You inspire us all to continue the mission so we can celebrate many more milestone anniversaries in the future.
