Women. Never Count Us Out.

April 21, 2020

TTN matters and will continue to do so.

Ultimately we’ve proven that being part of TTN has mattered. Since the very beginning, hundreds of volunteers have dedicated their time, energy, and creativity to leading chapters, organizing groups, planning programs and events - all with a singular purpose of connecting you. And it mattered.
Year after year, you joined, renewed your membership and donated to our annual appeals because you felt the value of being a TTN member. The most precious value delivered? Connection.

We are here for each other.

In these times of social distancing, it’s easy to ask, “Gee, since we can’t meet face to face, what’s the value in continuing my membership in TTN? Where’s the connection?”
As in the past, the Women of TTN are responding to our new normal by completely switching gears. Our chapter leaders are embracing technology to start online peer groups so you can share your feelings and once again realize you’re not alone. Your SIG leaders are organizing book and movie discussions, game dates, recipe sharing sessions among others, to keep you connected while you are safe in your own home. And you are responding by embracing the training we offered on how to participate or lead meetings using video conferencing. Over 600 members and guests signed up for these sessions!
This proves my earlier point. At time of challenge like this, TTN women aren’t pausing. We’re not taking a break. We’re not sitting on the sidelines until all of this passes.
On the contrary. We’re rising up, putting our heads together and figuring it out. We’re using all of our skills to creatively reach out to help each other, to provide support and to find the silver lining in a situation that we can’t control.

Without you, there is no TTN.

You, our members, inspire our chapter and national leadership to explore different ideas and ways for us to support each other through this difficult time. So check out your chapter event pages for new and exciting opportunities to connect and learn. Together we will get through this. It may take some time but we will endure.
Without you, there is no TTN. You are the reason we exist.
Thank you for valuing this community and maintaining your membership.
Stay well.
