Robin Putnam, MA Office of Consumer Affairs Business Regulation; Amy Schram, Better Business Bureau

Millions of Americans become victims of identity theft and fraud every year. Seniors are often targets. Join Robin Putnam from the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs Business Regulation and Amy Schram from the Better Business Bureau for tips on how to protect yourself.

The presentation will include information about the Office and what it does. It will also cover how to spot and avoid scams, recent scams that the Office has learned about, how to prevent identity theft, plus steps to take if you have fallen victim.


Robin Putnam has been with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation since 2015, and currently serves as its Events & Outreach Manager. In her role within Consumer Affairs, she has conducted over 600 lectures in 215 towns and cities in the Commonwealth, planning, coordinating, scheduling, and participating in a wide variety of events to provide consumers with information, education, and resources.

Amy Schram has been with Better Business Bureau since 2011 and serves as Manager of Community Relations. Her focus is to foster the business-to-consumer relationship and educate the public at large on all BBB programs and services. She delivers close to 200 programs each year, speaking to thousands of business and community members throughout Eastern Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
