Do you worry about your estate plan documents? Cristy Carbon-Gaul, estate planning attorney and probate judge, will join us to address this important subject and answer some of your questions. She will review the documents you should have as part of your estate plan, including durable general power of attorney and healthcare directives, and will discuss the issue of when to update your documents.
Judge Cristy J. Carbόn-Gaul grew up primarily in Omaha, Nebraska but considers herself a New Mexican, living in Albuquerque most of her adult life. She and her husband, Daniel Gaul, moved to New Mexico in 1997. They have two children, two dogs, three cats, and 23 chickens.
Judge Carbon-Gaul is a lawyer licensed by the New Mexico State Bar since 1997, earning her law degree from Creighton University School of Law, graduating cum laude. Her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting, is from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She has practiced estate planning, guardianship and conservatorship, and probate law in New Mexico for over 20 years.
