Curious about your family roots outside the U.S?
Interested in learning more about your family’s history prior to their arrival in the U.S?
Want to research a branch of your family that never emigrated to the U.S.?
In this interactive online presentation, the Center for Jewish History’s genealogy librarian will show you how to broaden your family history search beyond the basic databases to specific online resources for places of origin worldwide.
In addition, you will learn tips for finding and requesting
records from your country of origin that are not available online.
While this event is designed as a follow-up to the Center for Jewish History’s
Genealogy Basics presentations, those just starting research are also welcome.
This program will be helpful for persons of all religions/nationalities, not just those of Jewish ancestry.
TTNers who attended our Genealogy Basics program with the Genealogy Library praised it as a valuable resource for their own family history research.
After the event, attendees will receive a list of the on-line resources discussed during the presentation.
Please Note:This Zoom webinar will feature a presenter using PowerPoint. Audience members will not be seen or heard, but can submit questions by typing them into the chat box or by asking them directly at the end of the talk.
