The book invites readers to think about nuclear weapons from a human scale.
Besides learning more about the historical events, participants can discuss what we understand about the "Greatest Generation" -- many of our fathers fought in WWII but shared little of their memories and emotions. As we confront a troubled and endangered world today, we will reflect on what it means to look at the enemy or the "other" and find we are looking at ourselves, just another human. History happened then but its ripples change all of us now. What are the lessons we can learn today?
