WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14

A CONVERSATION

Christine Millen, Co-founder and Carol Oswald, Board President

To kick off our 20th Anniversary Celebration, we’ll hear from Christine Millen, co-founder of TTN, about how she envisioned an organization that would connect women 50 and forward and Carol Oswald, TTN’s current Board president who will share our vision for the future.

We’ll eavesdrop on their engaging and wide-ranging conversation that honors The Transition Network’s founding and history, celebrates the organization’s many accomplishments, and imagines TTN’s future.

There will be time for you to join in this conversation about our past, present and future, so bring your questions and comments - and your party hat, too!

12:15 - 1:30 PM (Eastern)

LUNCH MIXER

During our lunch break on Wednesday, October 14 , we'll gather in small groups (breakout rooms) to meet women from other areas of the country. We'll set you up a few great questions to get the conversation going (not that you'll need much help!)

So bring your lunch and let's connect!

2:30 - 3:34 PM (Eastern)

CHAPTER 3: WHAT WILL YOURS BE?

Catherine Collinson, CEO & President of nonprofit Transamerica Institute and Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, will share research findings about working women's expectations about retirement and the actual experiences of retired women. In doing so, she will explore life's possibilities, while offering insights and a few practical realities.

Get your questions ready. With 20 years of retirement industry-related experience, Catherine will be ready to provide fact-based insights on Chapter 3!

5:00 - 6:16 PM (Eastern)

COCKTAIL MIXER

What a day it will be! Christine, Carol and Catherine will have provided lots of food for thought. So let's connect over a cocktail and see what we learned. Once again, we'll gather in small groups (breakout rooms) to compare notes and meet women from other areas of the country.

Just think of the new friends you will make!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15
10:30 - 11:45 AM (Eastern)

TTN WOMEN OF IMPACT

Jeanine Briefel, Long Island
Mary Klein, Philadelphia
Theresa Murray, Washington, DC
Betty Rauch, New York
Roni Buckley, Chicago (Moderator)

This morning's inspiring session features five TTN members who have made an impact in their communities. We'll collaborate, share ideas and resources to help each other engage, lead and advocate in our own backyards and beyond.

´╗┐We've accumulated a lifetime of wisdom. And like no generation that has come before us, we have a chance to help change the world, yet again.

12:15 - 1:30 PM (Eastern)

LUNCH MIXER

Today we want to hear from you! How do you see the future of TTN? What is the significance of TTN in your life and how has it changed in the time of COVID? What transitions do you see forthcoming for YOU that could help us shape programs in the future?

This lunch mixer will be a facilitated discussion about all of our futures. We'll mix you up so you still have a chance to meet women from around the country (that's the best part!)

Don't forget to bring your lunch!

2:30 - 3:45 PM (Eastern)

THE ONE AND ONLY... JOAN LUNDEN

We end our celebration with an inspiring conversation with news pioneer Joan Lunden, longtime Good Morning America host, author, spokesperson and mother of seven. Joan’s new book, Why Did I Come into this Room? A Candid Conversation About Aging, takes a humorous poke at the aging process. The book provides a funny and poignant look at the inevitable parts of growing older with an emphasis on creating a vibrant and active blue print for the rest of your life. This is an event you won’t want to miss!

Celebrating the Past. Embracing the Future.
