TTN REVIEWS MOVIES IN NOVEMBER!!
(Posted November 12, 2019)
Hosted by Jane Kalfus, it was an enjoyable and interesting film group discussion.
Judy – real tragedy, terrific performance by Rene Zellweger (likely Academy Award nominee) – liked how story unfolded with flash backs 9
Where’s My Roy Cohen – interesting & informative picture of a vile attorney – the mentor of our President 4
The Laundromat – mixed reviews - a “disjointed “ film about tax avoidance, money laundering and shell corporations – maybe “political satire” but “not funny” – “awful film” – “Implausible” – “good performances”

Thanks to Gloria Rubin for sharing a clip on shell corporations done by the NBC I-team - https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/I-Team--How-we-set-up-an-Offshore-Shell-Company-Designed-to-Avoid-Taxes-170378666.html - it was amazing to see how easy it was to set one up.
